Barbara Schautz, age 75, of Norwell, passed away June 24,2012 after a two-year battle with cancer. Barbara is survived by her loving family, husband, Jim; daughter, Betsy; grandson, Beck; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tom and Margaret Downie, Mike and Linda Downie, Keith and Lynn Downie; several nieces and nephews; extended family and friends. A Boston area resident since 1979, Barbara spent the last 28 years as part of the Boston Lerch, Bates and Associates elevator consulting team. She enjoyed many interests including crafts, gardening and bridge.

A service celebrating Barbara's life will be held Saturday, July 7, at 11 a.m., in United Church of Christ, 460 Main St., Norwell.
