Brendan G. Hanrahan of Whitman passed away at his home Sunday July 1, 2012 surrounded by family and friends after a long battle with cancer. He was 40. Brendan was born in Brockton. He was a lifetime Whitman resident and a graduate of Whitman-Hanson High School. He worked for Stop and Shop warehouse in Freetown, and he is a member of the Teamsters Union Local 25. He is a member of the Knight of Columbus in Whitman Council 347. Brendan was an avid sports fan, and loved spending time with his family, friends and especially his children.

He is survived by his wife Kathryn (Reardon). Loving father of Susan, Emily, and Robert Hanrahan all of Whitman. Son of Maureen (Harrington) Hanrahan of Whitman and the late Robert Hanrahan. Brother of Kevin Hanrahan and his wife Megan of VA. Grandson of Elizabeth Harrington of FL. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visiting hours in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St. Whitman on Thursday July 5 ^th 2-4 & 6-9 pm.

A Mass of Christian burial will be on Friday in Holy Ghost Church in Whitman at 9 am. Relatives and friends invited to attend.

Interment will be at Colebrook Cemetery in Whitman.
