David J. Sliney age 90 passed away April 4, 2017 at the All American Assisted Living in Hanson. He is survived by his children Margaret Duggan of Rockland, and Joseph Lewis of VA. Former partner of the late Philomene Lahar. Brother of Eleanor Sliney of Brighton, and the late Kay Meadows. Mary Sliney, Julia Wood, Grace Afarian, and Dorothy Merlin. Grandfather of Lori, Michael and Marie. Great-grandfather of Caroline, Ava and Joshua.

David was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean War., where he earned a Purple Heart and 3 Bronze Service Stars.  He was a former employee for the IRS as an auditor. He was very devoted to his family and he loved golfing and bowling.

Relatives and friends invited to attend visiting hours in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St. Whitman on Sunday April 9 ^th 5-7 pm. A funeral service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home.

A private burial with Military Honors will be held at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in David's memory to a charity of one's choice.
