David R. Tommervik, of East Bridgewater, age 72, died April 28, 2017 after long illness.  He was the beloved husband of Anne E. Marek. He was born in Pierre, South Dakota, the son of Harold and Elnora (Knudsen) Tommervik. David was a Vietnam veteran and retired from the Army after a 28 year career.  He then worked for Cumberland Farms for 14 years.  He was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed bowling, spending time with friends and family and working around the house. David is also survived by his children Dawn Weller and her husband Allen of Killeen, TX, Amy Dunn of Killeen, TX, Sean Tommervik of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; grandfather of Skylar, Coty and Austin and brother of Allan Tommervik and his wife Margot Comstock of Santa Rosa, CA.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 10:00am followed by a funeral service at 11:00am in MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St., Whitman, MA.

Burial service at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne will be at 1:30pm.
