James Robert "Papa Jim" Avery suddenly of Whitman February 15, 2013. Loving father of Daniel D. Avery DuBois paramedic for Fallon Ambulance and and his wife Kimberly of Rockland and Derek S. Avery Sr. East Bridgewater F.D. and his wife Monica of East Bridgewater. Brother of Shirley Azevedo of East Bridgewater, and the late Dorothy 'Dot", Beatrice, Edward, Gladys "Sis" William and Frances. Brother in-law of Robert McPhail. Papa Jim as he was called devoted all his time to his loving grandchildren Derek Jr.,Bryce, Darian, Cole, Ryan, and Grace.  He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be in the MacKinnon Funeral Home 760 Washington St. Whitman Wednesday February 20th,   4-8 PM. with services at 7:30 PM. in the Funeral Home. Relatives and Friends respectfully invited to attend.
