Obituary

Ed passed away peacefully on July 14, 2021 surrounded by loving family members. Ed was born in Blacklick Township PA.  Ed was the 4th of 10 children.  He was the son of Duane, his father and Anna is mother.

Ed proudly joined the United States Navy in 1942 and proudly served until 1964.  He was awarded several medals, to include: World War II Victory medal, The American defense Service Service medal, the Asia and Pacific Campaign medal, The Navy Occupation Service Medal and the Korea Service Medal. One of his assignment was as a Gunner Mate Ordinanceman.

He is the proud father of Ann, James, Brian, Thomas, Stephen and Ellen. He was the grandfather to Amy, Matthew and Bridget, Sarah, Peter, Sean, Cory and Destiny, and Jack and Emma, Kylie, Kara ,Nora, Connor and Grace . Ed would also like to give a big 10-4 shout out to his trucker bud Denny and his bride Sandy

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, July 19 from 5-8 p.m. in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St., Whitman.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 20 at 9 a.m. in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman MA

Interment Private

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any and all donations be sent to NVNA and Hospice services in Norwell, MA. 781.659.2342
