Marie E. (Lech) Chubbuck of Middleboro formerly of Whitman passed away Sunday March 6, 2011 at the Oak Hill Nursing Home in Middleboro. She was 89. Wife of the late Melvin W. Chubbuck. Marie was born in Brockton and was a graduate of Brockton High School and Massasoit Community College. Marie worked as a U.S. Navy certified welder during WWII. She was a former Registered Nurse at the V.A. Hospital in Brockton where she worked for 18 years. She is a retired member of NARFE Federal employees. Past secretary of Hillcrest Mobile Home Park Assoc. in Middleboro.

She is survived by her daughter Joyce M. Levesque and her partner Peter Groome of Middleboro. Sister of the late George Lech. Also survived by her grandchildren Jason and Christian.

Funeral Mass Thursday in Holy Ghost Church, Whitman at 9 am. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Interment at St. James Cemetery in Whitman.
