Obituary

Philip W. Gentile, Jr. of Brockton formerly of Whitman passed away peacefully Friday June 8, 2012 at his home in Brockton after a long illness. He was 52. Philip attended Whitman-Hanson High School. He worked as a bartender at the Holiday Inn in Brockton, and presently employed at the Sheraton Hotel in Needham. Philip loved to roller blade, go to auctions and also loved restoring his home.

He is survived by his partner William M. Olsen. He was the devoted son of Marilyn L. (Barry) Gentile of Whitman. Loving brother of Karen M. Spano of Plymouth, Diane L. Springhetti of East Bridgewater, and Stephen A. Gentile of East Bridgewater. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and 1 great niece. Son of the late Philip W. Gentile, Sr. of Halifax.

Visiting hours in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St., Whitman on Tuesday June 12 th 1-4 & 6-9 pm.

Funeral Mass Wednesday in Holy Ghost Church at 11am. Relatives and friends invited to attend.

Interment at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Whitman.
