It is with great sorrow that we mourn the passing of Richard Louis DeRosa, (Richie.) His passing on January 29 ^th , 2013 came after a long bout of lung cancer that he valiantly battled to the very end. His strength during this period attested to the inner strength he possessed throughout his life. If any one word described Richie, it definitely would be survivor. His career included being a barber in the Boston area for more than 20 years and then a successful chef in many of Boston's top restaurants.

Those who mourn his passing includes his 87 year old mother, Josephine DeRosa, his son Richie Jr., his son's mother, Kathy, 6 sisters, 1 brother, many nieces and nephews and friends.

We shall all miss you immensely Richie and want to thank you for allowing us to live in the same century as you.
