Richard A. Milligan of Whitman passed away Tuesday February 19, 2013 at his home in Whitman surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Richard was a loving husband and father, he was the chef and travel agent of the Milligan household. He was quick with a joke and he had a soft spot in his heart for all of his pets. Richard worked as a Vice President of State Street Bank for 19 years. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Laurie (Townsend) Milligan.  His children Michael A. Milligan of Middleboro, Diane M. Milligan of Whitinsville, and Melissa G. Milligan of Whitman. Son of Anne "Pat" (Coyle) Milligan of Brockton and Acton and the late Alan Milligan. Sister of Ellen M. Poggi and her husband Joseph of Quincy.

Visiting hours in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St. Whitman on Friday Feb. 22 ^nd 4-8 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday in the First Baptist Church in Abington at 10 am. Relatives and friends invited to attend.

Interment at Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree.
