Roderick "Rory" Burrows, 47, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, with his family and loyal friend, Patrick Cruise by his side after a long battle with cancer. Rory was raised in Whitman and attended Whitman/Hanson High School where he was an outstanding athlete playing football and baseball. He was also an avid downhill skier and storyteller, but where Rory shined the most was on the baseball diamond. Rory was a devoted fan of the Patriots, Red Sox, and Jerry Garcia. For over thirty years Rory was a proud member of Pipefitters 537.

Rory leaves behind his wife, Kerry and his beloved sons, Rory 11, and Kevin 8. He is the son of the late Roderick Burrows Sr. and Joyce Norton Burrows of Hanson. Rory also leaves behind his brother John Burrows of Hanson and wife Erin, his sister Dorinda Vale of Norton and husband Peter and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Relatives and friends invited to attend visiting hours in the MacKinnon funeral Home, 760 Washington St., Whitman on Tuesday, March 30 ^th , 4-8pm.

Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, March 31st , 9 A.M. at Holy Ghost Church, Whitman, this will be private to family only.

A private burial will follow.
