Verne R. Carlson, of Brockton formerly of Whitman, 36, passed away on July 16, 2011. Mr. Carlson was a graduate of Whitman-Hanson Regional High School. He worked many years in the embroidery business. He was loving father of Nicole E. Carlson of East Bridgewater. Also survived by parents Linda and Gerald Bernard of Randolph, Brother Hans Carlson and wife Kristin, niece Samantha and nephew Andrew of West Brookfield. Brother Nicholas Bernard and fiancé Alicia Winders of Randolph, and grandmother Ruth Strang of Brockton. Fiancé Holly Eddy of Brockton and many loving uncles, aunts, cousins and wonderful friends.

A Memorial service will be held in MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St., Whitman on Friday July 22 ^nd at 6 pm. Relatives and friends invited to attend.
