Lonnie Pickett Obituary

Lonnie K. Pickett Jr. a long-time resident of Brewster, MA. passed on October 1, 2023 after a short illness.

Lonnie will be remembered for his love of flight and his self-taught artwork of everything aviation. Lonnie had a great presence at the Chatham Airport which he managed for many years and was often seen in the pilot seat. Lonnie was a great Air Force Photographer and photographed many famous individuals such as Elvis Presley and Arthur Godfrey to name a few. Lonnie has several oil paintings displayed of military air craft at Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii and at the Pentagon in Washington D.C.

Lonnie was predeceased by his Mother Evelyn Pickett, his Father Lonnie K. Pickett Sr, Aunt Elaine Pickett, Uncle Walter R. Pickett and Brother James W. Eldredge. He leaves behind his nephew James B. Eldredge, Lifelong friend Arnold J. Borthwick and wife Sharon, Friend Marcia Siebenmann and many aviation friends.

There will be no visitation or funeral per request of Lonnie. A gathering will be held for Lonnie at Chatham Airport, October 28th from 10AM through Noon.
